Lacking something from a compositional point of view.and I dont like the dark area poking through from the background !Wish the left hand side was a tiny bit darker..
My main problem is that the image itself doesnt work for me !

A good flower macro although I think it would be more abstract as a B&W. I agree with Brian. It seems to be lacking something.

It's a good macro Ola. I love the colors and depth. I'm not too crazy about the composition though. It seems unbalanced. On the left there is a vertical component which remains unbroken from top to bottom. I feel that this causes in part the balance problem. I'd crop out the black areas and the small yellow sliver in the bottom right corner. Macro is a lot of work but very rewarding. Keep it up!

with the green at the top,
then crop from the bottom.

Needs a better composition, or the crop is way too tight.

A better crop or B/W won't help. Keep experimenting.

The black areas is the pistil inside this parrot tulip. It's not the background.

tulips are a sign of spring for me great colurs this would never ever work in b&w
