Crits: I think it's not really abstract enough to be considered an "abstract." You'd have to be very unfamiliar with flowers to not realize what this is.
Creating abstract photos isn't so much about taking confusing macros, as it is about taking photos from a unique perspective.
The composition is rather on the boring side, and the focus is uneven.
Experimenting is good -- keep at it.

As for the image, its nice but has fundamental flaws and is not of Elite quality, I could appreciate if you had become elite as a painter and posted this but you didnt.
Bottom left of image out of focus petals ? could you not have simply removed them before shooting ?

Nice colors!
Some blurred parts is slightly distracting though.
Keep experimenting.

byonder: I know u dont like animals but I do. I do not like the stuff u publish and Ive do not comment your stuff because I dont understand the stuff.
a-h: The pic was in photo\nature from the beginning but the text says abstract
I know what an abstract picture and this one is easily spotted as an flower not an strange abstract one so it's in the nature folder. The first one was more abstract as I was playing with the shapes of nature.
The third one will not be abstract nor macro.
Have a nice evening.

I assume you used a tripod for such a long exposure? I am also interested to know what lens you are using for these shots.

@Shark.... Who's arguing ?? not me ! its called an opinion !
@ ogu, I simply make comments based on what I see, if you take them as negative I am sorry for you ! Please Re-publish the images you removed from your gallery !
"You think I go to far in trying to help ? " no real point in replying to that is there !
Or would you prefer if I simply posted "WOW" when I have posted WOW you gave me a thumbs up ! ---
As stated, I felt justified to reply, and am very happy to take this to pm ! no offence intended but we are both over 12 !

I can't even remember the last time I commented on your work, so saying, Every time I publish something u make negative comments." is absurd.
My comment was not nasty, I did not say "this sucks." I gave very specific reasons why I do not believe this piece works, and why the quality is not up to "elite" standards. These reasons were not based on my personal likes and dislikes, but on basic photographic technique standards. If you don't care to hear people's constructive criticisms then maybe a public forum is not the place for you.
There's nothing wrong with experimenting. But as an "elite" there is a standard to uphold and pieces like this break down the integrity of that standard.
